Digby County Exhibition

The Digby County Exhibition brings the classic country fair to the Annapolis Basin every August, and the 2026 edition runs Wednesday, August 26 to Saturday, August 29 at the exhibition grounds on Riverview Road in Bear River. Livestock shows, 4-H competitions, agricultural displays, a midway and community food booths fill the four-day program that makes the fair the social centre of Digby County for one busy week.

Bear River sits where the tidal river of the same name meets the Annapolis Basin, a short drive from both Digby and Annapolis Royal, and the fair draws visitors exploring the Acadian Shores and the Fundy side of the province. It follows the Festival acadien de Clare in nearby Baie Sainte-Marie, giving the county a lively two weeks of community celebration in late August.

Admission is at the gate, and the fair keeps a family-friendly pace, with the livestock barns and 4-H shows at their liveliest on Saturday. The exhibition grounds are at 854 Riverview Road in Bear River. Dates are confirmed through 2029 by the Exhibition Association of Nova Scotia.
