About Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is a spectacular celebration of military and civilian pageantry, music, and dance that has been thrilling audiences in Halifax for decades. Held at the Scotiabank Centre, the Tattoo coincides with Canada Day celebrations, making July 1st in Halifax one of the most exciting days on the Canadian cultural calendar.
The 2026 edition featured over 2,000 performers from around the world, including military bands, pipe and drum corps, gymnasts, acrobats, dancers, and precision drill teams. The two-and-a-half-hour show was a sensory feast of music, movement, and color, culminating in a breathtaking finale that brought the entire cast on stage.
Kids 18 & Under were FREE in 2026 (1 free ticket per paying adult/senior), with tickets starting at $20 for Section D seating. Discounts were available for CAA members (15% off), military/veterans/first responders/teachers/nurses (10% off), and Buy 3 Get 1 Free on adult seats. The National Bank Tattoo Festival offered free family-friendly events throughout Tattoo week.
Beyond the mainstage performances, the Tattoo includes a free outdoor street festival on Canada Day, a parade through downtown Halifax, and interactive exhibits at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. The Tattoo is a beloved Maritime tradition that draws visitors from across Canada, the United States, and beyond.
