Celtic Colours International Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 with nine unforgettable days of music, culture, and breathtaking autumn scenery across Cape Breton Island. Widely regarded as one of the world's premier Celtic music festivals, Celtic Colours is unlike any other — it takes place not in a single venue but across dozens of communities, from historic churches and community halls to state-of-the-art theatres.
The 2026 festival features 52 concerts spread across 36 Cape Breton communities, creating a cultural road trip that pairs world-class music with the island's legendary fall foliage. Each concert is a unique blend of local Cape Breton talent and international Celtic artists from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, Galicia, and beyond, celebrating the global connections of Celtic culture.
Beyond the concerts, Celtic Colours offers cultural experiences including community meals, Gaelic language workshops, guided hikes through the autumn-colored Cape Breton Highlands, and the popular 'Late Night Festival Club' where musicians from different concerts come together for unforgettable after-hours jam sessions.
