Detailed Information

Nova Glamping is once-in-a-lifetime glamping on a private island in West Dover, 35 minutes from downtown Halifax and 5 minutes from Peggy's Cove. A log cabin and three geodesic domes — Peggy, Dover and Luna — share the island. Each 295-square-foot dome has a queen bed overlooking the water, a kitchenette with cooking supplies, a private composting toilet, an outdoor cedar hot/cold shower and its own cedar wood-fired hot tub, while the log cabin (two bedrooms, sleeping up to nine) carries a full kitchen and bathroom. Island extras include a cedar sauna, BBQ areas and fire pits, plus friendly island goats for company.

The island is boat access only: check in from 3 p.m. at the 159 West Dover Road dock for the 5-minute boat ride out, with the boat and captain available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rates run $275–$675 CAD per night and the season runs April 1 to November 30. Pets are welcome in the log cabin and on whole-island bookings, and Amex, MasterCard and Visa are accepted. To reserve, call 902-809-0359 or book at novaglamping.com.
