The Essential Lunenburg tour is the right starting point if it is your first visit — it gives the architectural and historical framework that makes the rest of the town legible, and it is the prerequisite for the Sights & Spirits and Day Tripper packages. The Haunted tour is best booked for the experience itself, not as a sightseeing substitute — it leans into storytelling rather than architecture, and runs late enough that the streets are appropriately dark. Reserve ahead for Tastes of Lunenburg and the Sights & Spirits package: both have limited capacity and the food and distillery components require coordination. Wear walking shoes and bring a layer — Lunenburg's hillside streets funnel wind off the harbour, and evening tours run regardless of weather.
