About The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, North America's biggest outdoor comedy festival, returned to Halifax's Garrison Grounds from August 6 to 9, 2026. Over four days the historic hillside venue transformed into an open-air comedy club, pairing A-list stand-up with food trucks, drinks, and a high-energy festival atmosphere right on the edge of downtown.
The 2026 lineup brought some of the biggest names in comedy to Halifax, including Matt Rife (Aug 6–7), Andrew Schulz (Aug 8), and Nikki Glaser (Aug 9), with matinee sets from Trevor Wallace & Ryan Long and Adam Ray's Dr. Phil Live featuring Pauly Shore and Dusty Slay. Supporting acts included Fortune Feimster, Steph Tolev, Lucas Zelnick, Kam Patterson, and Mark Gagnon. Shows were spread across multiple nights and tiers, from general admission lawn seating to VIP packages with prime sightlines and upgrades.
