Magnetic World Music Festival

Atlantic Canada's biggest multi-genre music weekend lands on Citadel Hill for a fourth year — its fifth edition overall — on September 25–26, 2026, with a lineup that reads like a playlist on shuffle: Akon and Ne-Yo co-headlining a Saturday back-to-back, Khalid and Swae Lee carrying the pop-R&B lane, Sexyy Red and Alesso on the bill, and Canadian rock band Mother Mother on the lineup. The festival has grown from its 2022 debut in Moncton into the region's flagship late-September event, finding its home on the Halifax hill since 2023 and drawing fans from across the Maritimes to the fortress hill in the middle of Halifax. The setting does half the work. The Magnetic Stage sits on the Garrison Grounds at the base of Citadel Hill — the same slope that hosts the Halifax Music Fest and the great outdoors comedy festival — with the 19th-century fortress walls as a backdrop and the harbour a ten-minute walk below. Organizers run the site as an all-ages event with licensed 19+ areas, food and drink vendors, and full festival programming across both days. Weekend passes from $272 plus taxes and fees, GA+ at $312 with express entry, and VIP weekend at $559 (sold out at time of writing); single-day tickets are also released. Prices are drawn from the festival's live ticket funnel. Ticket resale and scalping are not permitted; passes are sold through the official channels only.
