Features & Highlights
Detailed Information
Cabot Cape Breton is the resort built around Canada's most celebrated modern golf: two 18-hole courses, Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, set on more than a mile of sandy beach along the Inverness coast and both ranked in the world's top 100. The Lodge sits steps from the first tee of the Links course, with ocean-view rooms, the Panorama restaurant above the final fairway, and the Cabot Bar - a timber-and-leather room that has become a pilgrimage site for travelling golfers. Destination Cape Breton lists a 4.5 Tripadvisor rating for the resort.
The Courses
Cabot Links, opened in 2012, is Canada's first true links course, routed directly along the beach so the ocean is in play on the seaward holes. Cabot Cliffs, opened in 2016, threads dunes, cliffs and spruce forest above the Gulf of St. Lawrence and is widely considered the finer of the two. Together they make Inverness a golf destination on par with the great links regions of Ireland and Scotland.
Staying Here
Rooms at the Lodge look out over the course and the water, and the resort's caddie program, practice facilities and lesson offerings mean you can build an entire stay around the game. Non-golfers get the beach, coastal walking, and the restaurants. Whit's Public House and Coore's Lobster Shack round out the on-site dining.
