In 2026 the festival marked its 30th anniversary and ran October 9-17, 2026, with 52 concerts in 36 communities. Over nine days the festival has grown into one of the country's major autumn music events, drawing visitors from around the world for authentic Celtic music and dance amid Cape Breton's peak fall foliage. With over 300 events spread across 36 communities, the festival offers an immersive journey through Cape Breton's living traditions, from intimate community hall concerts to grand performances in historic venues.
