Five Islands Beach is the shoreline of Five Islands Provincial Park on the Minas Basin in Colchester County, and its headline feature is right in the name: five islands, Moose, Diamond, Long, Egg, and Pinnacle, rising from the water just offshore. Below them runs some of the most dramatic tidal scenery in a province famous for tides, because this is the Bay of Fundy system, home to the world's highest tides. At high tide the water returns and swallows the flats whole, pushing everyone back to the narrow upper beach beneath the park's red cliffs.
