Mullins Point Rear Range Light

The Mullins Point Rear Range Light stands on the point at the north entrance to Wallace Harbour on the Northumberland Shore, along the Sunrise Trail in Cumberland County. Lit in 1894, it is a square wooden tower 25 feet tall painted white with a keeper's dwelling attached, displaying a fixed white light 39 feet above the water and originally paired with a front range.

Over the years the rear light carried a 4th order dioptric lens showing a fixed white light (11m) from 1922, later replaced by a 7th order dioptric lens in 1943, and the station was automated by 1993. Between 1962 and 1968 the working light was replaced by a skeleton tower, and the range was eventually decommissioned.

The original 1894 wooden tower still stands, although it is now privately owned and no longer operating. Because it is on private land, visitors are asked to admire and photograph it from the road rather than approach the tower.
